Programs

State Institute Alternative (SIA) Program

  • HealthSource provides administrative oversight and fiscal management for the State Institute Alternative Program (SIA). This program is intended to help relieve the waitlist at Kansas’s State Mental Health Hospitals by providing access to private psychiatric facilities that provide the same level of care as the state hospitals. Kansans can access the program by working with the crisis services through their local Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC).
  • We greatly value all of the facilities partnering with us to provide inpatient psychiatric services. Our team is ready and willing to assist in any way.
  • Community Bed Board: An online centralized resource launched by HealthSource and KDADS to help screeners and providers identify available placement beds, with periodic bed counts reported in one location. Access the site here.
  • Questions about the program should be directed to sia@healthsrc.org
  • Questions regarding billing and/or claims should be directed to siaclaims@healthsrc.org

QRTP Assessments

  • Administrative Services is contracted through the Kansas Department of Children and Families to provide level of care assessments to children seeking placement in a Qualified Residential Treatment Program. All assessment requests are handled by the state’s contracted foster care case management providers.
  • Questions about the program should be directed to qrtp@healthsrc.org

Olmstead Navigation Services

  • Olmstead Navigators serve residents of the ten Nursing Facilities for Mental Health (NFMHs) across the state of Kansas by providing 3rd party case management services. We partner with the Nursing Facilities, local CCBHCs, and other stakeholders to help residents transition into the community settings of their choice. Navigators bring a system-level perspective and ensure the voice of the resident and their legal representative is centered in all goal-setting and discharge planning.
  • Questions should be directed to olmsteadnavigationservices@healthsrc.org or 785-291-9668

HCBS-Autism Waiver Assessments

  • HealthSource Integrated Solutions is the Assessing Entity determining if proposed recipients for the HCBS Autism Waiver meet criteria for inclusion on the waiver. Our masters-level clinicians are specially trained to work with caregivers to learn about the child’s functional behaviors to determine if eligibility is met. Prior to an assessment through HealthSource, interested families should apply to be placed on the Proposed Recipient List through the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.
  • Questions about an upcoming assessment or scheduling should be directed to autismwaiverassessments@healthsrc.org or 866-701-1328
